STEP 1: The first thing you will need to do in your group is decide which role each person is going to take for the first day. After the first day of the WebQuest, your roles will rotate.
STEP 2: Once you have decided on your roles, you are ready to begin your tour of the decades. Your group of history experts will focus on one decade a day. The schedule will be as follows…
Day 1: 1900s
Day 2: 1910s
Day 3: 1920s
Day 4: 1930s
Day 5: 1940s
Day 6: 1950s
Day 7: 1960s
Day 8: 1970s
Day 9: 1980s
Day 10: 1990s
STEP 3: When you are ready, go to the link for the decade you will be completing today. Your group’s Travel Navigator will navigate through the virtual tour. Your group’s Script Director will record the answers to the 10 questions from the virtual tour on the question sheet. Commanding Officer, make sure your group of history experts stays on task.
STEP 4: Now is the time to design the scrapbook page, switch positions so that the Artful Adventurer is now in charge of the computer. Open up Microsoft PowerPoint and begin your first Scrapbook Page. Each scrapbook page must include the decade, at least five pictures with captions from your virtual tour, and at least five sentences about what you have learned. The sentences should NOT be answers to the questions provided. It is hoped that you learn more than to just "find the answer." Please see the example and look at other student's pages to get an idea of what is expected. Follow the rubrics!
STEP 5: Your group of history experts will repeat these procedures for 10 days, until you have successfully explored each of the decades.
